MyYeshiva Father and Son Shabbaton 5770

Parshas Mishpotim ~ Feb. 12-14

Dear Parents,
Below are a few important details regarding the upcoming Father and Son Shabbaton.

  • The objectives of this Shabbaton are two: 1) To offer your son the opportunity for exclusive time with his father - something he desperately wants, needs, and deserves. And 2) to give you his father, the chance to spend some time with your son at the Yeshiva where he is loved and where he has spent most of his time this year ( and last year and the year before that one).

  • While you are here we will make every effort to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and educational. I ask that you inform us if we fall short in any of those areas. (and also if we don't!)

  • While all fathers are welcome and encouraged to participate, I appreciate that not all of our fathers - usually about half - will be able to make it.All I will say in this regard is, it's proven to be a terrific time and  a terrific way to say to your son "You're far from home only because your chinuch is important to me , and I love you and miss you very much."

  • Please make your sleeping arrangements at the Country Inn and Suites (Cottage Grove, MN) , which is located 50 yards from the Yeshiva. We usually have a special rate for Yeshiva guests, but we have not received confirmation yet regarding theShabbaton rate. I will update you when that becomes clear - IYH within 24 hours.

  • There is a milchig and a fleishig kosher eatery serving the Twin Cities, both located 35-40 minutes from Yeshiva. You are welcome to take your son out for certain meals if you wish, and you are quite welcome to enjoy three meals a day with us at the Yeshiva.

  • Please let me know if you plan to join us for this Shabbaton. We'd like to plan for the numbers and your confirmation, while not crucial, will make things easier.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or special needs/requests that we can help with.

I look forward to greeting you.

 -Rabbi Chayim Friedman
